Colonel Francis Marion Parker Civilian Alliance

The Colonel Francis Marion Parker Civilian Alliance (FMP) is an auxiliary organization of the 30th North Carolina Troops reactivated.

The 30th NCT is incorporated as a non-profit educational organization with the State of North Carolina.

Our organization strives to re-create the positive images of the southern civilian in the 1860 to 1865 time period.   We participate in battle reenactments, living history events, historic ceremonies, and presentations to civic and school groups.   We continually try to expand our knowledge on life during the Civil War and share that information with the public.

The FMP is not only open to family members of 30th NCT military members, but also to men and women who enjoy portraying the home lives of people during the Civil War. In addition to supporting the military members of the unit, we also participate in activities such as campfire cooking, clothing displays and demonstrations, toy displays and games from the 1860s, period tea parties, sewing and other fiber arts, and dances.
